More than 16.5 million Americans practiced yoga last year, up from 15 million the year before, including hundreds from Gales Ferry, Ledyard, Montville, Old Lyme and Preston. Many people become interested in yoga as a way to become flexible, reduce stress and experience a sense of peace. Yoga is highly adaptable allowing students to move in ways that accommodate aches, pains and limitations. The regular practice of yoga can increase strength and flexibility, lower blood pressure, quiet the mind, improve concentration, and cultivate a sense of well-being. Our yoga classes offer a comprehensive yoga program that includes yoga philosophy, breathing techniques, yoga movements known as postures, concentration and meditation techniques and deep relaxation integrating body, mind and spirit.

Make-ups:
Students must call me when classes are missed in order to make up these classes. Missed classes are non-refundable and must be made up within the same session dates. **New** Effective March 7, 2007 - One make up class may be carried over into the next session. Make up classes that are not used by the end of the next session are forfeit. Make up classes may be used to attend classes other than the one that you regularly attend. For example, if you regularly attend on Monday at 5, you may make up your missed class on Wednesday at 7. Make up classes have no cash value and can not be used toward payment of any class.
I also know how hard it is to get to class sometimes due to illness, conflicts, weather, etc. Missed classes can be made up at almost all other classes during the same session dates that you have paid for. Some classes may be full. When in doubt, call ahead. Recognizing that sometimes we must make choices to do other things, I hope that you will take advantage of my makeup policy when you are able.
